Sailaja Acharya Memorial Polytechnic (SAMP) is jointly run by Shree Krishan Prasad Koirala Sewa Guthi (SKPKSG) & Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training (CTEVT).
SKPKSG, raising the economic and social level of the poor and weak sections of the rural areas by producing skilled and employable manpower within the country to fulfill the main objective of Guthi 2057 B.S. Today, 23 years have passed since this Guthi has gone through many ups and downs and conducted programs for the poor and underprivileged communities in the rural areas. The fact that many programs related to Guthi, technical education, and skill-based vocational training were conducted during this period is clear to us. I would like to inform you that more than 3200 technical manpower has been produced since 2059, and more than 1500 have been empowered by short-term training from the technical schools run under this Guthi. Also, I would like to inform you that this Guthi has been playing an important role in the production of technical manpower in the country since its inception. I am proud to have it.
In the past years, Guthi has collaborated with various agencies such as Rural Water Supply Project Morang, District Coordination Committee Office Morang, Koshi Zonal Hospital Biratnagar, Small Household Industries Morang, SDEP, Nepal Polytechnic Institute, Bharatpur, Social Welfare Council Kathmandu, and CTEVT. And with Guthi’s own investment, agriculture-based vocational training, basic sewing and harvesting training, advanced sewing and harvesting training, non-seasonal vegetable farming training, milk producer and sweet making training, hand boutique training, basic electricity connection and maintenance training, mother and child service training, and small animal husbandry training have provided short-term (skill-based) vocational training to a total of 1215 people by training in beekeeping and poultry farming. In addition, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development, Provincial Government, Koshi Province and after the instructions of CTEVT. I would like to inform you that 600 people have been given skill-based training by conducting 30 trainings with the financial support of Koshi Province, State Office and have also conducted skill tests.
By producing self-reliant manpower from the above practices and experiences, it has been able to introduce itself as a strong organization in the national and international arena by helping the youth to get self-employment opportunities, and the manpower produced from here is getting enough opportunities at the national level with their own businesses and working in other agencies including the Government of Nepal. is happening.
